Singing Words

한국타이포그라피학회 전시 15 «노래하는 말, 노래하는 글»에 참여했습니다. 황상준은 f(x)의 “4 walls”, 이화영은 BTS의 “Answer: Love Myself”의 가사로 포스터를 만들었습니다. 🌬️

We participated in the 15th exhibition of the Korean Society of Typography, Singing Words. Hwang Sangjoon created a poster based on the lyrics of f(x)’s “4 Walls,” while Lee Hwayoung designed one using BTS’s “Answer: Love Myself.” 🌬️

몇 년 전부터 이명처럼 울리는 ‘4 Walls’의 노랫말은 나의 «인생가사»이다. 들을수록 뜻을 알 수 없는 이 가사야말로 미스터리의 현현이 아닐까? 작업 이미지는 부적과 흡사하고 이것은 나에게 주문이 되어 심리적 위안을 준다. 이렇게 쓰여 있다. 라-부-이-주-포-우-월-수-니-로-채-운-미-로-미-로.

Mysteric Oh, Hwang Sangjoon
For years now, the lyrics of “4 Walls” have echoed in my ears like tinnitus — they are my life lyrics. The more I listen, the less I understand their meaning; perhaps that’s precisely what makes them a manifestation of mystery. The work resembles a talisman, becoming a kind of incantation that offers me psychological comfort. It reads: ra-boo-ee-joo-po-woo-wol-soo-ni-ro-chae-woon-mi-ro-mi-ro.
