ORGD 2024 «굿 디자이너» 기획전 «의문»에 ‹THIS IS A›라는 작업으로 참여했습니다. 보이어는 “그래픽 디자이너란 무엇인가?”라는 다소 무겁고 엄숙한 질문에 머뭇거림, 짓궂음, 그리고 모호한 농담으로 답했습니다. 이 작업은 손으로 직접 그린 드로잉과 13개의 오리지널 사운드트랙으로 구성되어 있습니다. 그래픽 디자이너의 내적 자아를 반영한 13가지 캐릭터에 맞춰, AI와 함께 13가지 음악을 작곡했습니다. 힙합, 시티팝, 록, 얼터너티브 등 다양한 장르로 구성된 트랙은 아래 웹사이트 링크에서 들어보실 수 있습니다. 🧑🎤
THIS IS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER PLAYLIST 🔗
We participated in the ORGD 2024 exhibition Good Designer, under the theme Question, with our project THIS IS A. In response to the weighty and solemn question, “What is a graphic designer?”, BOWYER offered hesitation, mischief, and ambiguous humor instead of a definitive answer. The work consists of hand-drawn illustrations and 13 original soundtracks. For each of the 13 characters — each representing an aspect of a graphic designer’s inner self — we collaborated with AI to compose a unique piece of music. The tracks span various genres including hip-hop, city pop, rock, and alternative, and can be listened to via the website link below. 🧑🎤

이것은 세상에 단 하나뿐인 그래픽 디자이너 카탈로그입니다. 270mm × 390mm의 대지 위에 펼쳐진 텍스트와 이미지는 마치 AI의 무심한 답변처럼 차갑지만, 그 속엔 그래픽 디자이너의 예술적 혼이 깃들어 있습니다. 책의 설명은 불완전함 속에 묻어나는 아련한 감성을 담아내며, 이내 희미한 이미지로 전환됩니다. 꿈처럼 선명하지만 잡히지 않는 이미지들 — 그래픽 장인의 존엄과 정념이 깃들어 있는, 오직 핸드메이드로 탄생한 작품입니다. 가격은 미정입니다.

This is a one-of-a-kind catalog of a graphic designer. Text and images unfold across a 270mm × 390mm canvas — cold and detached like an AI’s indifferent reply, yet quietly imbued with the artistic soul of the designer. The book’s description evokes a tender sentiment born from imperfection, gradually dissolving into faint, dreamlike images.
